Fake IMEI could mean the end of your phone.

As per Government directive, handsets with non-genuine IMEI will stop working on all networks by 30th November, 2009.
  • What is IMEI ?
    Each GSM mobile handset has a unique 15 digit code called IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)
  • How to Check IMEI in your Handset?
    Check your handset IMEI by dialing *#06#. A Fifteen digit number will be displayed on your handset.
  • How to validate IMEI?
    To validate the IMEI please send SMS (@Rs. 3) with the 15 digit number to 53232 or 57886 in the following format.: Send-IMEI <15> to 53232 e.g. IMEI 351869910443360 to 53232

    Message Displayed for Correct IMEI: Success!!........
    Message Displayed for Incorrect IMEI: Alert!! Invalid IMEI……

    Contact your Service Provider
    Contact GII (Genuine IMEI Implant) Center.
  • While visiting GII
  1. Visiting only Govt. authorized GII.
  2. Pay a nominal charge of Rs. 199 (all inclusive) and obtain receipt.
  3. Carry your handset with a valid Identity Proofs like Pan Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, Passport, Ration Card etc & Passport size photograph for identity purpose.
